Thoughts on this boy name
I like old names. Someone recently mentioned the name Peirce. It was more popular in the 1880's which is right up my ally. But i can't decide my feelings on it. I like it, but then I think it's too weird... do you like it? I need honest stranger opinions lol. What are people going to think when they hear me call my son that I'm the store ya know

Hmmm I am not a huge fan, but my thoughts are if you like them name, who cares what others think! When I was looking for names I love old names.
I used:
https://www.ssa.gov/oact/babynames/decades/names1880s.html
I ended up with Andrew and Anthony because my husband I could not agree!

Not a fan. My father's friend is Pearce... so I guess there's different spellings. Not my favorite though.
ETA: Or maybe is Pearse? I forget, but it's definitely Pea....

I like it a lot! I think it depends on your last name (like maybe not so much if its like.. Pierce Smith or Pierce Peabody) but I also tend to like names that aren't necessarily "trendy", "mainstream" or "popular"

Thanks everyone! I truly can't decide how I feel about it. I think I want to like it more than I do. My other ds has an older unusual name too but it's way more popular than pierce. Ugh boy names are so hard for me!

I like it. I wouldn't pick it, but I do like it.
The older name that I wanted for my DS (but DH vetoed) was Nathaniel. Nickname Nate. I love love love that name!
