Whole house water filtration system?
Anyone have this or any experience with it? We are interested in getting a whole house system and reverse osmosis under the sink. We met with a company last night and were impressed, but it's pricey. Just want to see what other LI'ers have done to improve the quality of water in their house. Looks like we have hard water, plenty of chlorine, and high levels of heavy metals! Feeling grossed out and just want some guidance - there are so many systems to choose from. Thanks in advance! Will x-post to Home . . .

Whole house water filtration system?
We sat through a presentation from a company that wanted 5k+. It was convincing and dh wanted to do it but when they wanted to come the next day I said we better hold up and think about it. Dh ended up installing a system himself for a few hundred.

That's great! I don't know if my DH would be up to the task, but could you let me know the type of system you ended up with and possibly where you are located (we have WAWNC, which I think is particularly bad). TIA!!
The quote we got last night was for over $4K

Whole house water filtration system?
Can it be done with a tankless water system? We have a tankless water heater and I was under the impression it couldn't? I've gotten quotes for that high too so we haven't been able to seriously consider it given other projects we have
