Diaper genie works well... as long as you keep the actual genie clean.
I've had them in my living room... so no complaints. Bought a new one with DC# 3

I have the Diaper Genie also and have no complaints but I've never thrown poopy diapers in it -- only pee diapers. The poop diapers get put into one of those powder smelling diaper sacks and thrown in the regular kitchen garbage which gets taken out every day. I pour a few of the Downy scent beads into the bottom of the Diaper Genie and switch them out every 2 weeks or so -- helps block the urine smell and gives the room a pleasant (but not heavy or perfumey) scent.

Diaper Genie but we don't put poop diapers in it otherwise it smells awful. Poop diapers we stick in a bag and put it in our garbage can outside.

we have the safety first one, i like it because we can use regular garbage bags.
it works well but we had the first one for 2 years and it started getting really bad with smells.... then the lid stopped working so we got the same one again. it is like $20. i am going to try those unstoppables!

We have the Arm & Hammer by Munchkin one and like it. We put everything in there and by the end of the week, when you open the lid, it's a little strong, but it's fine after you close it up again. I don't find a lingering odor.

This. I had the Diaper Champ and the Diaper Genie prior to this one and this is by far the BEST. We literally never smell anything out of it.

I started out with.. I think the diaper genie. It stunk. Literally. Ultimately I just decided throwing them in a bag and taking them right out worked best.

I registered for a Bubula; my husband liked it because it's aluminum so shouldn't absorb odors and also it can use regular garbage bags.

I have the Ubbi and I like it - doesn't stink and can use your own regular bags or a washable liner for cloth.

I'm a new FTM...I use an Ubbi and it's great!
It's steel so it's done a great job of keeping odors out plus unlike plastic won't ever accumulate aromas over time. Zero complaints.
