It's like they think Trump should receive tremendous praise for participating in running the government. I'm so sick of people saying he was such a successful businessman that he's going to run the country in the same manner. Governing and leading a country is not the same as running a business, especially when you've only used bullying tactics to get what you want in business.

I saw this on my FB newsfeed this morning. The guy they are interviewing is an old friend of mine- I'm friends with him on FB but we never interact. He shared it though and I found the interview interesting.
Is he the only supporter who now has regrets....

My in-laws. It's like he can do no wrong, whereas with other administrations everything was a conspiracy theory, and with #45, they're not phased by all of the obvious Russia connections

Exactly! People were calling for Obama to be impeached bc he didn't wear a flag pin or salute a soldier coming off Air Force One, but Trump does actual treasonous acts and they're still just calling for Hillary to be in jail.

Yes!! I have a friend who constantly posts on FB that he "loves him" and "he's doing a GREAT job".
Love him?? Is one's standards that low??? Love him??? What exactly does he love??? His disrespect, his arrogance, his stupidity, and on and on.
And a "great job"???  He's literally done NOTHING so far except to systematically destroy everything Obama built no matter the cost or damage to anyone.
I swear, Trump could $hit down their throats and they'd cheer and ask for more. It's pathetic.
On a related note, I was b!tchng on FB about Trump and how damn stupid he sounds every time he speaks, how he cannot construct a coherent sentence and what an embarrassment that is, etc and someone I know actually defended him and said she doesn't mind that he sounds uneducated and stupid. It's totally OK that he comes across stupid and ignorant because he's a good guy with a big heart and is very trustworthy.  She used the word TRUSTWORTHY!!!!! What the flucking fluck???

I cannot believe how LOW the bar has been set for a president that people are just OK with having a dumb, ignorant, moron holding the highest position in the land because, "he's a swell guy". Society is stupid.

I am in a wait and see mode and willing to give him a shot because he got elected and is our President. He hasn't even been there 100 days. Not sure what people were expecting to happen. With the way our system works it takes forever to do anything regardless of what party our President is. When he was using EO's people were screaming. When he goes the right channels people say he can't accomplish anything.
Reading this board is exhausting. There is a whole lot of energy spent hating on this man.

It's one thing to have disagreed with Obama--to want change, to have conservative values. Fne.

He has his head up as a$$. Period. He doesn't know what he's doing, he's concerned with all the wrong things, and the constant whining like a little baby that everything is "fake news" (except for Fox) further proves what an incompetent, thin skinned, national embarrassment he is.
Not even 100 days yet and it feels like YEARS!! Keep waiting around and giving him a chance as he destroys the environment, foreign relations, the economy..............and on and on and on. He's a freaking joke, just admit what a disaster this is already and stop with the "give him a chance".

Presidents can and do get plenty done in the first 100 days but what I really want to address here is what seems like a contradiction. It's not. It's just a complex issue with many sides that evokes many emotions - at least for progressives and similarly minded people.
I find his agenda loathsome so I'm thrilled that he's been stymied on some major points - i.e. I don't want 20 million people to lose healthcare, I don't want a wall with Mexico, I don't want a useless travel ban, I don't want minority rights derailed etc. So I am happy that he has failed on some key points.
However, he's creating chaos and making a mockery of our democracy. No one likes that either.
Plus there is the fear of what's to come. Not to mention outrage at the unprecedented corruption that is being unveiled. I cannot comprehend how a person cannot be alarmed at what is going on.
So it's a combination of a lot of things. But I guess if someone likes his plan they won't see it that way.
There is clear evidence the resistance is working. There is no reason for anyone who opposes him to "wait and see."

To an extent, we are all like this with the politicians we support. We remember what we like and dismiss what we don't. However, what is most worrying about Trump supporters is that a majority of them believed that he was different. He wasn't a "typical politician," yet that is the excuse given to dismiss his flaws. We were told that he was in campaign mode, that he would become more presidential. That never happened, and, let's be honest, at this point it is unlikely it ever will.
As others have said, it is one thing to have differing vision of the way to govern our country. But there is a deep hypocrisy at play here (again, not unusual). Would Trump supporters have been ok with Obama (or any Democrat) making wild accusations about being spied on? Would they have been okay with blatant and constant lying? With giving Chelsea Clinton and her husband their own offices in the White House? With the Clintons receiving information about an investigation into them, then the information being withhold from the intelligence committee? That any other politician is holding campaign rallies mere weeks after becoming president? I would imagine not.
Look, we all want to believe that we are on the right side of things. But when the politicians of his own party are constantly either having to "clarify" or outright refute their president's words, something is wrong.
I think that, so far, Trump has been a chaos president. However, I can point to a few things I like: McMasters, the new NSC advisor, the EO about lobbyists, and some increased military spending (not the ridiculous amount Trump proposed, but more funding toward soldier salaries and armor).
If we're not able to see good in those we opposed, and the bad in those we supported (I can list Obama actions that I disagreed with as well), then our country will only become more divided. Trump supporters and opposition alike need to more clearly see who the president is.

THIS EXACTLY! I hoped for something and he is just whining and pointing fingers. He's a man-child sitting in the oval office playing with dolls, but only the dolls is our country. I don't know how he is still in office. I read a while back that Howard Stern told him he shouldn't run for President bc his ego gets hurt when someone doesn't like him. The man still wants to throw rallies for himself even though he won already. There could be a "we're hiring" sign at Walmart that he passes by and he'll post... "More Jobs bc I'm in office!"

People like him do NOT do things because it helps someone else or because it's in someone else's best interest. In your hypothetical situation, if he cured cancer he would've ONLY done so because then he could tweet repeatedly how awesome he is while holding a rally so that he could stand up at a podium like the arrogant fcuk that he is and listen to people cheer him.
Anyone who thinks that this man acts in anyone's best interest except his own needs a reality check, Trump cares about Trump and that's all. He cares even less about your average, middle to lower class American................he doesn't know your struggle and sure as $hit doesn't care about it. Take a look at his cabinet, it's all you need to know about where his allegiances are. Billionaires and unqualified family members.
