Reading this board is exhausting. There is a whole lot of energy spent hating on this man.

Maybe. But I think there is also a whole of energy spent on positive movements regarding his admins stand on issues which is a good thing

silence = consent

People on this board have decided that silence=consent. Reality is there is no having a civil conversation on this board unless you HATE Trump. I would take a lot of the silence as people not wanting to get called nasty things that non-Trump supporters have used to generalize anyone who supports or finds positives in Trump.

It has been said (although I am sure it would not be easy for people to just accept) that people are genuinely curious as to what is to be supported in this man. I am one of those people. I would genuinely like to know..I would promise not to comment..but no one can come up with anything..you can even PM it to me...I would love to know a positive someone can come up with regarding this choice for leader..

Have you read this board???

Have you read this board???

Some positives for me...He took action against Syria. Obama talked a good game.on it but never fokkowed through. Of course this is bigger than the one action but it is a start. Roll back of regulations. This will be a very positive thing. I work in an industry and eat live and breathe this. The woman on this board atarting spwing hate at him for rolling back Dodd-Frank yet they have no clue what it ua or means.. I am waiting anxiously to see where he goes with tax reform.We need thisnto happen. Execution will be key. I think health care reform has to happen. Obama care is a nightmare and will start to implode. I strongly think Dems missed this opportunity to work with the Republicans to figure this out which would look good for everyone. I don't agree with everything he says or does (I have never with any president we have had) but I can't come in here and think anything may be remotely positive without being called a racist or bigot etc. Everything isn't a conspiracy to me. I don't believe he only is interested in doing things that benefit him. I am not going to attack his wife for wanting to keep the life of their son as stable as possible. People on this board just want to hate him. No matter what. They will spin any positive into a negative. Wishing the man will fail is ridiculous.

Ok..this response was not racist so I do not think you are one..now that we have that out of the way..he took action in Syria, but I don't see the benefit of it...he warned them and they went back to business as usual..that could have happened to any leader, so..ok...I am not qualified to speak on Dodd-Frank, but I think there are opportunities for both sides to meet in the middle regarding health care and other issues but they are both engaged in a childish pissing contest instead..I will admit I do not see myself in a place of praising this man (unless he cures cancer or something really, really big), but can I just say that it seems like, in your opinion, you think he is just taking action and that gives you satisfaction with him? I really am trying to understand..

I have satisfaction on some things 100 days in. Syria needed to be warned. Obama drew a line in the sand and then did nothing when the behavior was the same. I am not sure that Syria is going to be business as usual. Time will tell how it will play out. I was pleased to see our President take action. The pissing contest happens on both sides and isn't specific to Trump. People make it sound like this is the first time it happened. I guess that doesn't phase me anymore. It flip flops between the Dems doing it when they are in power to the Republicans doing it. All childish but that will never change. I am pleased to see someone looking at Tax reform as seriously as he is. I don't vote for any candidate based on one issue. There are plenty of things I don't agree with Republicansome on.

Taking tax reform seriously???? The man who has paid NO taxes in recent years??? LOLOLOL Ok. I'm sure his "tax reform" will be just as good and go over just as swimmingly as his PATHETIC attempt at heathcare reform went. Chat Icon He has no plan, he's not looking at anything "seriously". Being clueless is business as usual for Trump.

You do realize he has in fact paid taxes???? Maybe not to the level you would expect but he has been able to get away with it due to loopholes in the system that were created under someone else's watch.

I honestly never had a huge issue about him not paying taxes. It's one of the few things that he (maybe) did legitimately. I'm just amazed how he could lose that much money running a casino, when every other casino in the country couldn't count their money fast enough! It takes a brilliant businessman to lose money on a casino....

I do want to see his tax returns, though. I truly believe he has lots of business ties to Russia, and several other countries.

You do realize he has in fact paid taxes???? Maybe not to the level you would expect but he has been able to get away with it due to loopholes in the system that were created under someone else's watch.

And he's TOTALLY going to fix that so he and his buddies can't do that anymore, right?
{wink-wink}

Probably not but no other president has changed it now, right :::wink, wink:::

Sorry - I guess that also related back to the previous comment about how he's working on Tax Reform. Donny has acted as though the ONLY reason he was forced to pay so little was because of terrible tax laws that Obama (because he likes to blame everything on him) created. Saying it as if he would swoop in and change the laws so he and people like him can't benefit from it that way anymore. I just find that really funny. Call me a cynic, but he will never do anything that is not in his favor.

Reading this board is exhausting. There is a whole lot of energy spent hating on this man.

Maybe. But I think there is also a whole of energy spent on positive movements regarding his admins stand on issues which is a good thing

silence = consent

You do realize if he was actually paying taxes the last few years then he'd have nothing to hide and would've released his tax returns. You also realize he said himself, he doesn't pay taxes.

I think responses like this are her point. RESPECTFULLY disagreeing seems to be a lost art these days. On BOTH sides. Trump supporters are NO better. I will say, however, that LIF does not emulate the people in my real life. It has been almost 6 months since he was elected- tempers have started to cool, people aren't as heated and angry. At least, this is my experience with the people in my life.

Trump Supporters will never see any fault in him

I don't know I don't know anyone personally who voted for him that still supports him. His hypocrisy is mind boggling. My uncles were big supporters but they can't stomach how much he's profiting personally

He is literally the only president we've ever had who doesn't understand how things work. Basic nuts and bolts stuff. What judges do. How congress works and laws get enacted. Basics. And he's also the only one who can't/won't sit still to learn what he does not know.

That's a big nonstarter.
