NYC BD of ED - IEP Services
My son was just approved through CPSE for speech 3x a week. I thought the person at the meeting said that the services can be provided at his school (he is currently in a 3 day a week, half day program - he is almost 4) or at the agency if at the school doesn't work out. My sister in in LI and she got speech for her daughter in her home. Was just wondering if any one in NYC (we are in Staten Island) got services in their home. I just want to make sure I wasn't misunderstanding what he was saying. TIA!

LI and NYC are completely different when it comes to services.....that being said, is his school program part of CPSE or something you pay for? I wouldn't have the speech therapist come to his school if its not unless you would like him to get group therapy......it will be near impossible to find someone to come to the home i would recommend a clinic.....good luck1

I am on SI. I am pretty sure my friend had her son's speech therapist come to her home.
