Nyc teachers .... Iep meetings...
If you can answer any of the questions, I'd appreciate it!
In elementary schools -----
When do you hold yours? Who covers the general education and special education teachers? Are they paid? Under the new contract are there adjustments ? I want to make sure union policy isn't being broken.

You can do IEPs now on the new contracted time only at principal decision it's not directly stated in contract. We hold them on our preps or if we need time we are given it.

I'm pretty sure that if it is held on your prep they need to make it up to you another time during the day. I'm D75 (but not classroom teacher, so that is why I'm not 100% sure), but we have PA periods and they can be held during that time (once again, I think).

You are right we never get time back,...if we asks we would.
