Can I color hair or do highlights
I'm 8w1d and feel so run down and hair is bad I was called my friends mother today and she is 43 and I'm 34. I'm just not feeling beautiful and schedule to leave for Disney next Thursday and want to looks nice I pics any suggestions?

I've been coloring my hair and doing highlights my entire pregnancy. Just make sure you're in a ventilated area.

I'll be in hair salon so I assume that's fine right it's pretty big. I'm just nervous and don't want to be cause of any mc or deformity

I highlighted my hair from before I knew I was pregnant and then every 8-10 weeks the entire time.
My DD has no deformities.
It's fine

My OB said highlights are fine because they don't actually touch the scalp. Single process dye he said to wait until the 2nd trimester.

My OB didn't care but I waited until late in my 2nd trimester to do all over color. Mostly because I didn't want to be inhaling all those fumes. I've only colored twice my entire pregnancy and everything is fine at 38 weeks.

Asking the OB would probably be the best thing to do. I just dyed my hair a week ago since I gave birth to my son on March 8th. Boy did it feel great not to see the roots!
We also leave for Disney next week (Friday)...happy travels!

This is what my colorist said too- the dyes they use now are far more natural than what was used in the past. In fact, she's pregnant too with a healthy baby boy, just about 32 weeks now.

And not only that, as mentioned earlier, highlights don't even touch your scalp.
And for color that does, it's such a TINY bit that would even absorb through your scalp to even get to your bloodstream. I mean unless you are drinking the dye, it would be quite a stretch for it to do any harm.

my dr said either were fine. i waited till the 2nd trimester to get my hair highlighted. going to do it again in a few weeks
