3 row suv?
Dh and I are starting to look for a new car. We would like a 3 row suv, and we would like the following options:
Heated leather seats
Keyless entry/push button start
Power tailgate
Heated 2nd row/steering wheel a plus
So far we've crossed off the highlander and pilot. I'm not a huge fan of the gmc truck exteriors. We would prefer to avoid Nissan.
The ones we like as of now are the Ford Explorer, Hyundai Santa Fe, infinity qx60, and the Land Rover discovery sport.
We would like to keep it under 45k.
Any insight on these vehicles, or any others we should check out?

We have the Explorer (with 2nd row Captains Chairs) and LOVE it. It is by far my favorite car I have ever owned. I can't say enough great things about it.

We have the Infinity Qx60. We love it. Has everything you mentioned except I don't think second row heated seats but the driver and passenger has it. I'm not a heated seat fan anyway though.

Same here! That heated steering wheel has been awesome! Although my heated second row seats will pretty much be useless once DC #2 arrives and there's another car seat there.

First question I'd ask yourself is whether you want seating for 6 or 7 and whether you want captain's chairs in the 2nd row.
Some SUVs have a 2-2-3 with a middle captain chairs which means you can seat 7 (the lambda triplets: enclave, acadia, traverse). Some cars like the durango and explorer are a 2-2-2 configuration only seat 6.

we have the explorer with second row bench - we love it- it is very easy to drive - very comfortable -love the keyless entry and remote start. Also like the automated cruise control

i was looking for a 3 row SUV a few months ago and crossed off the explorer because the 3rd row only seats 2, not three. The way the seat split is, you really cant have anyone sit in the middle.
Not sure if that matters to you or not but just throwing it out there

Buick Enclave. I had 2 (2009 and a 2013) and loved them. I'm going to a truck in early May (Yukon XL), but I always recommend the Enclave.

We looked at the Santa Fe last year and liked it a lot. But I don't think you're going to stay under $45k for the leather and heated seat options.
