How did everyone do with the holidays?
I know holidays are hard in the IF world. How did you all do? I hope 2016 brings a new wave of BFPs and good news on this board!
Also the board is kind of slow. Feel free to give an update on this post! I am always looking for updates and following everyone's stories.

I survived. Had family here for 2 days including my pregnant SIL. I already have a DS so for me its a little different. but im still a tad envious..
I have a visit to RMA on thursday morning for blood work /ultrasound and will most likely start stims the morning of the first. this time its lupron microdose 2x a day in addition to the menopur and follistim.

Totally get it. I have a 1 year old and I'm envious of every pregnancy announcement especially the ones who weren't even trying, got pregnant the first month trying, or my new favorite the honeymoon baby. I know I may never have another child and I'll never just have it happen naturally.
I hope this cycle works for you!!! Positive vibes for 2016!

How did everyone do with the holidays?
I'll reply to my own post...ha.
Holidays were okay. Not too many pregnancy announcements. Except the honeymoon baby announcement. I got married and had a baby 4.5 years later so that stung. I feel lucky to finally have my son so I'm just trying to embrace that and if he is my one and only so be it.
As for trying again no plans in the near future. I'm hoping I'm one of those miracle ladies who gets pregnant after infertility naturally. That would be awesome, but with our issue its an extreme long shot. I do have 1 frozen embryo so hopefully one day that little one will stick but again its a long shot.

How did everyone do with the holidays?
I did ok- SIL knows I am TTC and having problems so for Christmas she made mugs with her babies picture all over it, handed it out to each family member and we all got calendars with her face as well as a canvass of her face. Mind you she's not a new born but like 6 months old. Love my niece but like tone is down. It was almost like a smack in the face she we told her last month our problems. Anyway- we did get a dog over the holiday weekend so that's a plus!!! My SIL is very passive aggressive like wont come to our house and says bad things about it because they can afford a house and now same with our new dog- like why on earth would you get a dog, how does XXXXX feel? Like really? My husband and I got the dog together. I can't take her sh**. Oh well I got through and life is going on.
Hope you all did well and happy 2016 in hopes of lots of BFPS

This year has been rough and with the holidays, I have been extra sad seeing all the FB posts and holiday cards with siblings hugging and kissing. My DD is now almost 2.5 and we have been trying for 14 months. I had a MC followed by a D&C last January (I did in fact get pg naturally) and then 3 IUIs. 2 were chemicals and the last one a BFN. I truly hope this year will be good to all of us struggling with infertility. I am so very thankful for my DD but would really love to give her a sibling.

My DS is 6. Its way more years in between than I wanted, but what can u do.
and when we were videotaping him opening his presents, he got a new bike. so he kept saying he should keep his smaller bike in case he has a brother one day. I almost never talk about having another baby in front of him. But a lot of his friends have siblings so he asks every now and again.
Ughh.. :(

I had my retrieval the day before Christmas Eve and had my transfer the day after Christmas, so I was super lucky it didn't get in the way of our family plans.
I have been feeling super bloated and crampy sine the retrieval. Look 4 months pregnant and can't fit into any pantd. I called my doctor who said since I don't have fluid in my cavity and am not gaining more than 2lbs each day I should be ok. I can barely walk but am trying to do the best I can with my 2 year old. DH has picked up the slack big timee! I know I didn't feel this cruddy for this long last time. Hoping the pain starts to subside soon.

How did everyone do with the holidays?
I am glad the holiday is over. No one really knows about our struggles so it can feel like putting on an act "everything is good!!". I do have an almost 4 year old which helps tremendously but its hard when he asks each night if we can pray to god to send us a baby. Hoping our FET in about 2 weeks works. I am a poor responder due to age and we only got 4 eggs in total. Not sure about going thru the expense of another stim cycle with the odds not being so good. Fingers crossed and prayers to everyone!!

It's ok! Thanks ladies life has to go on. I can't dwell. My in laws are nuts but I don't let it get me down. Do I want to cry, yes but I refuse to let it get the best of me. It's so hard struggling with infertility but I look forward to my apt with Dr. Palter on the 7th. I'm so sorry that the holidays were a struggle for some. I totally understand what you are going through but know you aren't alone and some day each of you will find joy.

Our holidays were actually very nice. My background is we have no children (yet?), did IVF in September..transferred 1 blast and BFN. We have frozen blasts but decided not to do a FET until January at the earliest because I needed a break from the IVF madness and because I wanted to enjoy the holidays without being in beta hell again only to get a BFN.
I'm so glad I took a break. I felt like DH and I really got to enjoy the holidays...not only Christmas day but the entire month. We did a bunch of holiday things together and because we have less IF stress (especially since we know we are doing a FET soon), I felt like we really enjoyed each other's company.

Holidays were tough this year.. We had 2 failed rounds of IVF and it seemed like all of a sudden there was an explosion of pregnancy announcements on FB on Christmas eve and day! We even received a Christmas card this year with someone's sonogram picture on it! So i'm quite glad that 2015 is almost over and now we can move onto 2016 which hopefully will be the year of the baby for all of us! We are starting another round of IVF at the end of January with a new protocol so hopefully this will be the one.. You know what they say, third times a charm! Happy New Year to all!!!!

WOW a songram Christmas card? Seriously? I might send that to my mom but thats about it. People who are fertile just don't get it. Yes third time is a charm...my third IVF with a new protocol finally worked! That was also in the new year (2014) the ones that didn't work were in 2013. Best of luck!

For the holidays, I have my DD but kept thinking what if she's the only one for us. However I am blessed and wish you all the blessing too.

Thank you! The only funny thing about the sonogram card is that the entire family found it a little tacky.. I'm from an old school Italian family who feels that nothing should be spoken about until the baby is here so they all thought it was crazy!

Was pretty down my entire holiday break, my 5th failed IUI. My AF came 2 days before Christmas break so didn't even have to go in for beta. Felt bad my 5 yo wanted to play and I was just not in the mood.
Hoping 2016 is our year!

Yeah I would never send a sonogram Christmas card. I haven't even posted sono pics of this pregnancy on FB yet and I'm 6 months along.
For DC #2 the 3rd time was the charm for us.
With did a fresh and frozen transfer back in 2013. Both ended in m/c. I was devastated and took a loooong break. Last year we did a fresh and BFP sticky baby. May 2016 bring you your BFP!!
