How often can we eat tuna?
I NEED tuna!
It's my utter craving and I already had it last Weds and then last Sunday. What's the recommended amount of tuna for preggos?

I think my doctor said 1x a week, but not 100%. I haven't had it at all - not because we can't, but just don't want to.

You can have 12 ounces of tuna (or any other safe fish) per week. You just want to limit or avoid white/albacore tuna. Stick with chunk light.

Okay, I just read up on it and apparently 1-2 cans a week of chunk light only is okay. Tuna steaks are considered high in mercury and not recommended. Lobster is also on the moderate mercury list! Shrimp is on the low mercury list along with salmon.

I crave it maybe 2x a month...but I eat albacore. I didn't know it was supposed to be chunk light!

no I specifically asked her about canned tuna because my last obgyn told me it was fine to eat it in moderation.

I don't eat it every week, but when I do have a taste for it, I don't have it 2 times in the same week. My doctor just said to have it in moderation.

I have this obsession with tuna over a bed of iceberg with red peppers and black olives lol
My boss bought it for me from a local deli and I can't stop thinking about it!!! I think I will try and refrain and maybe replace with chicken salad for now lol
