Dumb question: Can I eat spicy tuna rolls and California rolls?
California rolls must be fine, right? What about spicy tuna? I know that I am not supposed to eat a lot of tuna, but once in awhile it is ok, right?

Raw tuna is not ok ever. The Cali roll is fine, but I would definitely skip anything that's raw.

When I get sushi I will get Cali rolls, shrimp rolls or tempura rolls.

DH is talking about going out to this restaurant for dinner tonight and i'm trying to decide if it is "worth" me going.

Why don't you get a box meal- terriyaki chicken/beef or bulgogi. That way the sushi won't be as much of an issue. Usually those boxes will come with Cali rolls, shumai and a salad. That way you still get to go out to eat and get a little taste for the sushi.

i am a sushi fiend and the few times i went for sushi i always asked for the rolls that had cooked meat in them or vegetarian--- most sushi places are good about knowing which rolls are okay for pregnant women...

definitely go to a sushi place that you know is reputable. even though you may order something "safe" for preggos, someone before you didn't and not all places are good about wiping down surfaces and utensils and stuff!

i love spicy tuna rolls- so what I do is I have california rolls w/ the spicy orange sauce on top- that gives me that spicy taste.
