Best Vacuum for hardwood floors
we have mostly hardwood floors with area rugs.
i would like a canister vacuum that will work for both.
any rec's?

Just posted about the cordless Dyson. So far it's been awesome. It's suction is great and gets any crumbs on the grout, which most regular vacuums miss so I wind up mopping too.

We have that vacuum from Bed Bath and Beyond - it's amazing! It has separate settings for hard wood and carpet and the hose is super long which is something I didn't see with a lot of other vacuums. I hate when I go to clean something and the hose doesn't reach!
