best vacuum for hardwood floors - dyson?
I need to get a new vacuum for all hardwood floors - is there a dyson that is recommended? Or are they better for carpets and pets?
We don't have pets - just two messy kids

I don't recommend an upright on wood... i have a canister with a soft brush floor attachment!

ITA - I have an upright one but I only use the stick attatchement with the little brush on the end for the wood floors.
What I use often though which is great is the swiffer sweeper vac - it has saved me so much time on cleaning the wood floors...

my dyson works fabulously well on our hardwood floors - just use the floor setting not the carpet setting. i think its a ball dc-25. but i could be making that up... i can look when i get home.

When I did the research a canister was recommended for wood floors. I have the Kenmore Elite.
