Gestational Diabetes
This is my 3rd pregnancy.
1st - didn't have GD
2nd - had GD (twin pregnancy)
What do you think are the chances that I'll have it this time? My doctor didn't seem to think I was an increased risk this time around and felt it was more because last time was twins.

Maybe it's different since the last one was a twin pregnancy, but from what I've heard, once you have it once, you are very likely to have it with any successive pregnancies. But I'm not site if there is an increased risk with twins.

i think once you have had it you have it again. 70% higher risk of getting type II outside of pregnancy. I ended up with it :(

Gestational Diabetes
A good friend of mine had it through I think all of her first three pregnancies. During her fourth she really had been eating better and staying healthier before and during the pregnancy and she did not have it! I think you have some hope for sure!

I had it both times but my friend who was on meds for her gd for her first but didn't for number 2. I think it's 50%. But you definitely have a higher risk over 40 having diabetes
