Sudden Drop in BM Supply?

I exclusively pump for DD. I pump around 28-30oz per day which is exactly what she eats. I have no backup stash. Yesterday I pumped 29 oz. and at 2am I woke up with pain in the right nipple. I thought maybe it was a plugged duct but I don't have pain in my breast really, just the nipple. I took advil and went back to sleep. Now today I was only able to pump 22 oz. I'm freaking out. Nothing has changed - I'm using the same pump I always use, etc. My right nipple still hurts a bit but it's not that bad. Also, the dip in supply has got to be from both breasts because the right one isn't responsible for those missing 6-8 oz. I'm freaking out!

Try changing the membranes on your pump. Could you be getting AF? I've heard that your supply can drop during that.

If you want to boost your supply, take Fenugreek or even have an IPA beer! Don't worry :)

I'm not sure about the pain you had, but try not to freak out about the drop in supply. It was only one day and you can absolutely get your supply back. Try drinking lots of water and I found Mother's Milk tea was helpful. Stress will probably make it worse so try to relax if you can.

could you possibly be getting your period (I got mine at 5.5 mo with all three kids even though I breastfed for a full year)

My supply dipped every month before AF appeared!

Also could you poss be pregnant?!?! I found out I was pregnant when breastfeeding and my supply dipped and it was painful to nurse/pump

jut up your water in take and take fengreek (3 pills - 3 x a day) - if the above do not apply and you should notice a diff in a week!
