Rash all over stomach
Hi All! I am 16 weeks and just yesterday broke out in a rash all over my stomach. It seems to be worse today (more bumps and more red). Anyone else experience this? I'm afraid it my be PUPPS. I have a dr appt next week. Should I just wait or do I need to go in immediately?

I have no experience with that, but I would call your doc and let him/her know.

I broke out with a nasty rash a few times during this pregnancy too. I think it may be too early to be PUPPS (I was told that usually happens in 3rd tri). For some reason I've become allergic to my everyday products (my hair gel and body wash I was using for years). I would call your doctor to see if there is anything you can take. I was told Benadryl and that was about it. You can also try a milk compress. For me, mine went away in about 10 days each time.

I would call your doctor. While PUPPS is common is the 3rd trimester I know someone who had it in the 1st. Your skin might just be more sensitive then usual with the pregnancy but you never want to just chance it, especially before it gets worse.

Call your dr. I had a rash - it was an allergic reaction. The dr may want to take blood.
Are you using cocoa butter? My dr said many women become allergic to it during pregnancy.

I did just start to use cocoa butter this week. Maybe that is it...I do see that a lot of people are allergic. Hoping that's it. Took a second shower to wash it all off. We'll see. Thanks!

I got a rash the few times I used cocoa butter. I use mama mio cream now - havent had any issues.

I was about 9 weeks and broke out in a rash all over my body. I went to the derma and prescribed a low dose cream to alleviate it

PUPPS is not dangerous just extremely uncomfortable! I had it during my third trimester. It started on my belly, then proceeded to my hips, legs and arms. It was HELL. However, definitely call your doctor. There is another condition called cholestasis which presents similarly as PUPPS which needs to be ruled out. My rash started on the weekend so the doctor on call told me to go to the ER where they ruled out cholestasis.
