Just had mine. 2 of my wonderful girlfriends hosted it..small quaint intimate & very sweet. Every baby is a celebration :).

I didn't but I have friends who have had them. I think they are wonderful. Whether its your 1st or your 5th, I think all babies should be celebrated and I would be MORE THAN HAPPY and not the least bit offended if I was invited to another and attended for a friend or family member. I would go bc their baby is a precious gift and I love my friend, I would happily come bearing gifts!!!

Not that I am aware of. Though we just saw family/friends at a party and everyone was commenting that they never saw me pregnant with DS. We had so much given to us that we really didn't need anything and didn't have a shower. Guess that took away the opportunity for every to see me. I don't mind them.

My first was a boy and the second is a girl. I had a sprinkle when I was around 33 weeks. It was great! Just immediate family and close friends, 19 people. I was so happy to celebrate this baby just as we did my first!

Yes, totally appropriate! I love baby showers, sprinkles, whatever and feel like there should be one for every child. Not that I would expect people to do that for me, just saying I love going/hosting them. Not everyone would agree though. First one big, every other on a smaller scale.

I just had one 2 weeks ago. It was 30 women and we had a beautiful sit down brunch at Blue Restaurant.

i had one, thrown by my mom and sister. my second baby was almost 3 years after my first and opposite sex. it was small, 15ish people at my moms

I will be having one as well. I am having a girl and i had a boy almost 5 years ago.
I found a cute poem to write on the invitations that goes like this.....
Pins, Diapers, Bottles Galore
Christy and Matt are having one more
big brother Ryan would be happy to share
but this time his things won’t do
they need pink rather than blue!

ITA! I am not sure if my family is planning one for me, but I have gone to a few and loved it.

I think it's appropriate.
My SIL keeps telling me I should have one- but I doubt she'll actually plan something.
My family doesn't "believe" in them and I can't plan one for myself! lol
Actually, my SIL said I should find out if baby is a  or  . If I was having a boy- THEN she said I should have one.

This is sort of me. I don't want a sprinkle in that I don't want gifts but I would like to celebrate the upcoming birth of our 2nd son with my extended family. I keep wanting to throw something ourselves but am not sure how I would word an invite bc I do not want there to be any suggestion that gifts need to be given. Sometimes I think I'll just invite everyone over for an early summer party and decorate in a babyish kind of way so they don't know until they get here. Not sure yet.
