Can you tell me what mortgage company you went through? We are in the process of buying a home and would like some recommendations. We're looking for a 30-year mortgage.

I highly recommend Steve Simpson at U.S. Mortgage Corporation, which is a direct lender/mortgage bank.
His contact info is (516) 408-4488 (office); (516) 384-8368 (cell), or [email protected]. He works out of the Levittown office (on Hempstead Tpke). I've recommended Steve to several LIFers and I think all have given rave reviews. He is a straight shooter, very knowledgeable, and accessible to his clients. Great customers service, and his company can close loans very quickly compared to most banks.
I believe specialty mortgage banks are usually your best bet (versus large commercial banks or mortgage brokers who place loans with lenders).
Other recommendations would be Robert Flower at Continental Home Loans or Chris Gonzalez at Academy Mortgage.

We used a private mortgage bank...our guy was awesome we closed on Tuesday and the process couldn't have been smoother. I highly recommended our guy. fM me for his name and number
