NYC DOE teachers with GHI- vision coverage
I'm so confused and DH is no help (it's his plan). Where do I find out about our vision coverage? Of if you know what is it called?

From what I remember basic coverage (like eyeglasses/contacts) is through the UFT Welfare Fund.

If there's a medical issue, then it's through GHI.

The eye exam should be coveredby GHI and the glasses are through the uft

call the welfare fund (through the UFT) and request a voucher. They will send it to you in the mail and then you can go to a participating vision center. I always get my eye exam by my eye dr and then bring the voucher to the center for glasses
