NYC DOE teachers with GHI
How much is it per paycheck to have you +husband + baby on your ghi plan?

$0.
If you have the optional rider it's like $8 per paycheck.

I did optional rider when I added my DH and knew we would want a family. I think it pays off in the end. I don't even feel the difference in my pay check.
