Jewish moms and just moms: is this too Christmassy for my little Jewish girl?
Someone gave my daughter this dress as a gift but I am hesitant to put it on her for her school Holidays party tomorrow. Is it too Christmassy? Just wanted to clarify: We ARE Jewish, so that's why I am asking...

not jewish but, unless jesus comes out from under that skirt, no it's not too chritmas-sy...it's just festive dresswear IMO

I'm Jewish and my DD wore a very similar dress for her first birthday last year (12/21 - she'll be 2 tomorrow!). I love it, and love red, and all fancy dresses this time of year tend to have it.

Red makes it kinda Christmas but I dont think it would be a big deal for a Jewish child to wear it. If I found an adorable blue velvet dress I would have dd wear it and not care what people thought(im Catholic).

Red and green, santa, reindeer, christmas trees, christmas lights/ornaments make me think of Christmas. This dress just looks like a winter dress.

My daughter did wear that same dress for her Christmas Pictures but I do think that it is more 'holiday season" that Christmas Christmas!

It's too bad the party is today because that bow could have easily been switched out to a blue one. but, I think of red as a party/celebration color no matter what. doesn't have to be christmas.

I'm Jewish, and I bought DD an outfit with ornaments on it to wear on Christmas day. I don't care that we are Jewish - it is festive and fun! I say go for it!

It's an adorable dress and it looks festive with a slight xmas flair. It's not 100% a xmas dress but it leans that way. With that said I probably would opt for something a little different, and we are jewish too.

probably a stupid question but why would it be bad to wear something that may resemble "christmas" if you're jewish? I never thought of that when dressing my kids.. and I've dressed mine in practically every color out there.

The red makes it Christmassy to me, I'm Catholic. If the bow were white, silver or blue then I'd say wintery.
