The stupid comments don't stop after you deliver...
DH's parents and grandma came to visit us in the hospital the day after our DS was delivered via c-section. Grandma's first words to me? She comes over pokes me in the belly (a la Pillsbury dough-boy) and says in 100% seriousness, "are you sure there's not a twin in there they missed?"
I immediately replied with, "Are you trying to say I'm fat?!" At which point DH jumps in and says what are you thinking Grandma? Her response - "Well I never had a belly after I delivered your mother". Her ONLY child, my MIL, was preemie and weighed 3 lbs...not a bragging point if you ask me.
They'll be at my home when I get out of the hospital...can't wait to see what other pearls of wisdom she has for me

Old people always just say what's on their mind, even if it's incredibly rude. I think DH's grandmother said something similar to his cousin after she gave birth. 
It's totally normal to still have a belly. Try not to let her get to you.

I would tell her to leave. My MIL has made a few rude comments and I have flat out told her off. I dont tip toe around people when they are flat out rude.

That is awful!!! It is pretty rare someone has a completely flat stomach after delivering a baby. Even some super skinny girls have a belly.

Wow, just wow I think older people always say stupid things like that. I dont know why, but they do. Both my DH's grandma's would totally say something like that... Im sorry you had to deal with that, especially after just giving birth but Im really glad your DH jumped in like he did

Shut up. Wow. At least your hubby stepped in and said something. Old people are freaking crazy. I'm sorry, don't let her make you feel bad, it is totally normally! I personally have never seen anyone leave the hospital with a flat stomach. Maybe a week or few weeks later but right after giving birth! Give me a break!

Oh boy... That sounds exactly like something my Grandma would say to me... except I AM having twins. So we will see what she comes up with! She likes to tell me what a great appetite I have. And believe me, this was even before I was preggers.

Exactly!! I work out regularly and even throughout my whole pregnancy and I had a belly right after I gave birth. People are unreal!
Don't feel bad. You just had a baby for gods sake. People are Just so rude!

Politely tell her if she touches your belly again you'll knock her dentures out adn if she doesn't shut the helll up she'll be watching her great grandchild grow up through pictures since you won't tolorate this behavior. Rude is rude and I don't give a shitt how old you are. Unless she has a medical condition that causes her not to have a filter I say game on...you can blame hormones.

Couldn't have said it better myself... just bc they're "family" or "elders" doesn't give them carte blanche to act like an a s s.
