Pumping

How long does it take to get a good supply with pumping? I started last week and am pumping once a day for now and I am getting maybe 3 ounces.

Try pumping first thing in the morning - that is when you get the most milk. And as PP said, pump more frequently (like when the baby would feed). You can leave the pump out at room temperature for at least 4 hours, so pump 5-10 minutes every 45 min to an hour for a few hours.

No tips on getting her to take the bottle - my little piglet loves how the milk flows into her mouth from the bottle, lol. I would try a few different bottles. Which one are you using now?

Re: Pumping

You could also try pumping before or after baby nurses. Or nursing on one side while pumping the other, if you can manage it.

Re: Pumping

Also, it might help to have someone else give her the bottle. DS wouldn't take a bottle from me, but no problem from anyone else.
