almost one month into my half marathon training!
i can't believe i'm one month in. the progress started out slow... and painful 
but now i am up to 4 miles and can hit 11 min miles doing a run/walk strategy. i push my runs to 9-9.5 min miles and then when i hit my limit, i walk until i feel ready to run again. i got 5 miles coming up this sunday 
anyone else training for a running event?? how's it going??? besides some 5ks, this is my 1st really big athletic endeavor

hi thats awesome!! Im training for my 1st half too. Most Ive done so far is 10K .. I now am dealing with shin splints so Im trying to take it easy. Ive been sticking to 3-3.5 miles. Hopefully they get better soon, I have a 10K July 9th in Central Park.

I'm also training for a half marathon but I haven't gone any further yet than I've already ran. The most I've ever ran is 6 miles and my training schedule hasn't put me over that yet...I'm sure I'll get there soon!
