splenda sweetner
About 3 months ago I stopped using sweet and low and switched to splenda. (for no particular reason) Now that I am pregnant I am wondering if Splenda is Ok? Anyone know? Thanks

Yes. The FDA has approved the use of sucralose (or SPLENDA® Brand Sweetener) for the general population and imposed no restrictions on its consumption by pregnant women and nursing mothers. SPLENDA® No Calorie Sweetener may be used as part of a healthy prenatal and postnatal diet.

Wow, I have been using sugar because I was told not to use Splenda. I am so confused and I hate sugar, it is alittle toooo sweet.

I agree. Don't forget products that have artificial sweetners like diet soda too.

My dr told me the only sweetner that really is good for you in pregnancy is splenda....but to use it in moderation....I do still just becasue I can't being myself to use "real" sugar with all those calories....(its a sickness I guess!, plus i always loved my diet foods!!)

I stopped all artifical sweetners since I figured that some of these proiducts have not been on the market long enough to fully determine long term effects.
