depression and family

One of my family members is going through a period of very bad depression to the point that they've been hospitalized and has had electric shock therapy. Things are actually getting worse for him and its having a big impact on our entire family. Can anyone recommend a good doctor or have any other info for me in suffolk county? FM me please thanks

Electric shock therapy? I havent heard of that being used ina very long time. I would find an excellent psychiatrist (Im sorry I cant recommend one, Ima therapist in Delaware) but EST doesnt sound like what he needs.

My husband has rapid cycling bipolar and he sees Dr. Martin Roshco in Huntington. So far, he is wonderful.

I would also call the Suffolk County office of Mental Health. They were very helpful. Good luck. This does take quite a toll. I understand completely.
