Low testosterone?
DH has had low testosterone for many years. Aprrox 10 years ago, we did conceive. He has recently started taking medication the doctor perscribed to try to increase it, and it has gone up, but is not normal. My question is, is this a HUGE concern for us TTC? I can guess that this can lower sperm count, right? Should I forget any chance for a BFP this month?
Based on my expected date of O (my cycles are 28 days), this was our "activity":
BD 2/4 (CD 12)
BD 2/7 (CD 15)
A couple of days before too, and after, but doubtful they "counted".

DH dealt with low testosterone also & was placed on Clomid. The reason for the Clomid was to increase his count (even though DH was above normal on his count). We were dealing with other male IF issues that required the increased count. It is standard protocol to put DH on medication for the low testosterone. Like pp said, did DH have a SA done? That is truly the only way to see if there are any other underlying circumstances.

The doctor gave him Testim, but DH hates it because it has to be rubbed on the skin, by his arms and I'm always scared to touch him. He wants to call the doctor and see if there is a pill he can take instead. He has never had a SA. Where does one go for this? Is it covered under insurance?

There is DHEA, an OTC he might be able to take. But the SA is most importat, b/c the low testosterone may not impact his sperm at all. You can have it done through your RE if you have one, if not contact an Urologist for testing. It may be covered under your ins, if they cover diagnostics.
