Huggies Overnights did not work

I was so excited after so many people recommended the Huggies Overnights when I posted yesterday. We got them, and DD still leaked out of them last night. Not as badly as w/the other diapers, but still a lot.

What gives?

She's about 22 pounds, we got the Size 4 b/c that's the size Pampers we had her in overnight (she still fits in a size 3 during the day). They didn't seem too huge on her...and I tried to make the diaper as high as possible in the front too, since she's a belly sleeper.

When DS was 22 lbs we used size 5. HTH

Just wondering if you used the Huggies pull ups training pants - Night time with extra absorbency?
My DD was leaking through her diaper as well every night until we tried these. She did have one night that she leaked but that was it and we've been using them for over a month now.
Just at night. They seem to be really good.
My DD is about 24lbs and we bought the 2T-3T ones.

My DD is in a size 4 during the day in Huggies but wears a 5 in the overnights. She is always one size up in overnights. HTH

I did go up a size, that's what's confusing. She's in Size 3 Pampers during the day, and I tried Size 4 Huggies Overnights.

When my DD was 22 lbs, we used size 5. We also use a diaper doubler---no leaks---ever!

That stinks - I love them., DD is 20 lbs and she is size 3 overnights and regular diapers.

Geeze, I cannot imagine putting a 5 on her. Even the 4's seemed big. Maybe I'll try pulling them even further in the front before I try a 5.

I always put my son in a size bigger for overnights...they do seem really, really big, but that's what works for us!! give them a try!

What about getting the diaper doubler inserts? They really hold a lot of urine!
This is what we use along with the huggies overnights and we never have a problem.

My DS sleeps in TWO overnights! That is the only thing that worked for us

ETA: the outer diaper has to be one size bigger than the inside - we do size 4 over size 3

I would do a 5- we are switching with the next batch since she started leaking again.

She is a stomach, butt in air sleeper!

my ds is also 22 pounds and every night he wears a size 4 huggies overniight diaper AND then a size 5 luvs on top of it. we can sometimes get 2 days out of the luvs if they are stil clean. hth!

Thanks everyone. We tried the size 4 again tonight, we'll see what happens in the morning. Hopefully we figure out something that works, that's got to be a yucky feeling to wake up with pee up to your neck practically

When my son was leaking through at night, I went up a diaper size AND added a pull-up. It's the only way he stays dry...

DS leaked out of them for awhile. I had to put on a diaper doubler and make sure that the overnite is tight enough....I make it pretty tight on him.

Also, DS is 24 lbs and has been wearing the size 5's for awhile. i think they run small.

Honestly, belly sleeps are so hard to guage. That's been my experience. Ava is a belly sleeper and sometimes with the overnight diapers, I would find that the front might scrunch down a bit from her sleeping on her belly and that would make her leak. I made sure to tuck her night shirt into her pants or put a one piece pj on her and it stopped. Now with the overnight pull-ups, I find we don't have leaks anymore at all. They don't scrunch down like the diapers did.
