I loved it.. it related to the show perfectly. It made me cry throughout more than I have ever cried watching an episode of SATC but I thought it was good. I am so happy no one died llike rumor had it and I think they gave us all what we wanted to see.
Jennifer Hudson was cute but her acting was a little off to me.

I think that the movie was just right. There was a lot of meaning and strength behind all of the dialogue and characters:
Charolette: The character everybody loves to hate because of perfection. Bt it wasn't always easy for her! She struggled with IF (like many of us here) and accepted it (by adopting) and in the end gets pregnant (happens all the time) when she least expected it. She worried about losing the baby and struggled with herself. I loved how she was the one that struck out at BIG! She has grown to be a strong woman!
Miranda: Compromised who she was to be with Steve. He blew it because he wasn't getting L A I D! (this happens in marriages all of the time) They showed how over extended Miranda was (work, mother, taking care of MIL, everyday life) What does Steve do? (Pretty much nothing) She struggles with her identity and struggles to forgive. Forgiveness isn't the easiest thing to do! In the end, she thinks with her heart and is able to forgive, but maybe, just not to forget!
Samatha: Came full circle as her milestone birthday approached. I like how they softened her just a bit and brought her back to who she was before the cancer! That was important. She has made it big in the business and rightly so. I thought her interaction was Carrie was great (almost motherly) and her treatment of BIG was interesting too.
Carrie: Finds what she was looking for. She always wanted to be married. She wants a family. (There has never been a mention of her family in the movie, the ladies are it) Her relationship with BIG had to come full circle. It would have been crazy for it not to! But in the end, what they wanted was each other and nothing more. They had worked out all of the other stuff and were ready to move forward! I love how she had glasses at the end (a sign of getting older)
BIG: He learned how to love and let go!
I though the costumes were great. There really wasn't much over the top. The Vogue shoot was great!
I really thought it wrapped it up nicely!
I also thought Jennifer Hudson's character was cute. It was important that the person who helped her get back on her feet, not be one of the ladies, but some one from the outside who didn't have much baggage in the relationship!
I loved it!
Totally agree with everything you said! I absolutely loved it!!!!

And for some reason I am a really big SJP fan right now...i thought she was fantastic and really funny! They all looked great!

I was in the city and the girls were decked out! Everyone was so nice...letting everyone save seats and not getting upset. Lots of people brought cupcakes and wine...we had a blast and made some friends too! 
As far as the movie, I cried my eyes out...especially in the end. But throughout, I laughed and cried equally as much. I thought they did a great job, I loved every moment...Im sure it was tough to get all the story lines into the movie in under 2 hours.
The ending was predictible in my eyes but I liked it. I hoped they didnt get together, because life isn't always a fairytale.

I loved it! One thing I always appreciated about this show is when something is horrible in a character's life, they don't make them pretty & crying like when Charlotte had a miscarriage - that was about as real as you can get. Someone who is so put together, a complete & utter mess.
When Carrie took off her sunglasses in Mexico, there was an audible gasp in our theater.
It was all tied up in a bow but it's one movie that I wanted tied up for me.

LOOOOOVED IT!!!! I want to go see it again and buy it as soon as it comes out! I laughed (I was surprised at how much I laughed) and I cried.
A few things:
- Did Big REALLY "make" that closet for Carrie?
- I didn't like how Charlotte announced her pregnancy to Carrie - their thing is always to discuss things over lunch, why didn't she announce it to everyone at once?
- In the show Miranda and Carrie would have never eaten on Valentine's Day in such a non-trendy restaurant with all of those balloons all over the place!
Sorry Di, but I thought Cynthia Nixon looked amazing througout the entire movie! And the clothes really were all great, loved the clothes!

Another thing I thought was great was how there was still something to laugh at even during the sad parts. Like, when Carrie hit Big with the flowers and the girls got her in the car...Charlotte had to waddle in her dress. Or when they were all depressed in Mexico and Charlotte craps her pants...

Just saw it and it thought it was ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!! I wasnt disappointed AT ALL!!! I cried, i laughed and ultimately all the girls got exactly what they wanted which is how it should have ended.

Also, one of my favorite parts was the "Fashion show " that Carrie puts on when she is packing! I thought that was so good! Loved the flash back scenes in the beginning as wel!

I loved it!!!! I have watched SATC forever-- and I loved the movie. I will admit I was a bit mad that Big was up to his old games-- I mean he is a 40 something year old man-- COME ON.... Make the commitment!!
I loved the overall messages. That not every woman needs a man to find love--- Like Samantha.. She realized she Loved herself... And The fact that "labels" are just that-- and do not really mean anything. And in life how important forgivness is. I will tell you that I went home and gave my DH a big hug.......

I really liked the movie overall but I have a lot to criticize!
I didn't like the ending...I just could not get over what Big did to Carrie to that quickly... it was too much. And at the end of whole thing - Big got exactly what HE wanted - his whole ham and eggs breakfast-JOP wedding. But I guess at least it was true to the show - she was always a sucker for him.
Jennifer Hudson's role and character was utterly useless - I wish they had left her completely out of the movie.
But despite all that I still really liked it... it was very true to the show. The women all looked fantastic.
ETA: Carrie's wedding gown - OMG!!! I loooooved it!!!

I saw the 10 am show today by myself so I had almost literally the whole theater to myself.
I loved the movie - I really did but like others there some parts I didn't like.
LOVED
Carrie's "real" face after the breakup when in Mexico -- that's what you really look like.
Charlotte - her character is amazing. I loved when she looked at BIG and screamed NOOOO! So proud of her standing up to him -- and then of course having to waddle!
The beginning sequence - between her fashion shoot in her apt., to their 'coloring' talk in the diner, they really stuck true in the beginning.
Charlotte in Mexico and the - WATER - nuff said!
DIDN'T LOVE
The marriage story line -- it was predictable what was going to happen and I hated that whole "Big changes his mind and turns around the car" and they still breakup. I also didn't like the "surprise" moment in their apartment at the end where they find each other.
I got the point of having her new assistant but...ehhh, it was a little forced.
I actually liked the Miranda story line because at the end they say "Miranda realized that maybe Steve's cons were bigger" and you know that he was going to be on that bridge. It was her realizing that she is a true person.
OVERALL, I really liked it and it endd how I wanted. I loved how Carrie ended with glasses and they set the stage for the next stage of their lives....

Loved it.
Loved Charlotte's story line. I LOVED when Charlotte held Carrie and screamed "NOOOOO"! to Big when he stood her up at the wedding.
Loved the Mexico scenes...so real. Seeing Samantha feed Carrie yogurt reminded me of what a "real friend" would do. Plus, that scene about Miranda waxing & when Charlotte "Poughkeepies"...OMG! effing hilarious!
The Miranda story line...tough call. She was really cold to Steve "Let's just get it over with"...everyone gasped in the theater. BUT I do not think that warrants cheating. She was really b!tchy and unforgiving until the end. I used to LOVE her character (Miranda) and this time I did not like her so much until the end when they softened her up a bit, KWIM? It was real, but uncomfortable to watch for me.
Carrie and Big...what can I say? Very real to me. The end was predicable, but I wanted them together in the end.
