SATC movie Spin off
am I the only one who doesnt enjoy seeing a movie in a packed out theater?
I sooo want to go to see it and will hopefully with my girls Sunday night.
But I cannot enjoy sitting in a packed theater. I feel like I pay too much for the movie as it is.

I feel the same way. Long lines to get a ticket. Squeezed in my seat. I don't enjoy!!!
I always waited 2 weeks or so after the movie was out to go see it.

My mom and I are going after it's been out a little bit.
DH and I saw National Treasure 2 the night it came out and it was uncomfortable being in a packed theatre.

I have never gone to a movie opening night before (I actually haven't been to a movie in years I think) This is the exception. Me and my girls could quote every single episode of SATC (as I'm sure most of you could) and it's more of a bonding thing - than anything else.
Yes - I am thrilled to see the movie but I'm happy that I will be spending it with my friends.
Also - there is no way I would be able to not read any spoilers.
Packed or not - I don't care - I think everyone is just going to be thrilled to be watching what unfolds.

Too funny...this is exactly why I haven't posted on the NJ thread yet...because while I totally can have DH stay home with baby, I DREAD the crowds and chaos. Totally unenjoyable to me. And if I can't sit on the end towards the middle or back I am just not a happy movie-goer. Man, I'm such a PITA!

I never go to a movie on opening weekend for that reason (unless I win tickets or something.)
However, I bought tickets for a 3:40pm showing on Friday. I'm skipping out of work little early to go  and hoping it's not quite as crowded as it will be in the evening and at night.

I never go Opening Weekend, but this will be a fun girls night out.
I pre-bought the tix on Fandango and we will get there super early like the geeks we wanna be...As long as we sit together in a good spot, I am good.

I agree its a great girls night out and am going with my girls on Sunday night and am even dreading how packed it will be then, but I just see Friday being Madness and not enjoying myself.

I love to go opening night with the crowds for movies I really care about. I love being surrounded by the other crazies, hearing everyone laugh at the funny parts and just enjoying the positive energy.
I went opening night for Austin Powers 2 back in the day and people were dressed in costume.
When I was an RA in college I took some of my residents to a midnight showing of Harry Potter and soooo many people were dressed up, talking about their predictions for book 7, and it was so much fun. I went to the midnight showing of the last HP movie on a work night with 2 of my co-workers! 
I'm not a diehard SATC fan. I've seen quite a few episodes but I've never had HBO and it's just a show to me. The hype is getting to me and I do plan to see it, but this weekend isn't convenient for me so maybe in the next 2 weeks? I would have loved to see people dressed up at the theater though
