Worried....
Im 6 monthes pregnant today and ive been getting little pains that kinda feel like pinching.... my baby is still kicking.... i keep being told that they are probably not contractions!! Can anyone tell me what these are?

I tried to call the doctors i got the answering service and she wouldnt page the doctor she just said that if im having contractions then i should go to the hospital but I dont think they are contractions????

contractions can be a painless tightening of your uterus, feeling like your baby is balling up, or they can be painful sort of like menstrual cramps. i would try timing these episodes and seeing how often they happen. if you have more than 4 in an hour, then i would definitely go to the hospital to get checked out. actually, if you're having any concern at all then i would go into the hospital. better to lose a few hours in L&D than to miss preterm labor...
