how horrid are these?
going through some old house pics and still in awe in re: to previous owner's choice of paint colors and decor style. WTH was she thinking???

TOTALLY not my style but the stars are nothing compared to the circus stripes. at the closing our realtor asked if we had decided on painted colors yet. upon hearing, the seller was SO uspet that we wanted paint over the stars and stipes that she was almost in tears.
ETA: there were stars EVERYWHERE, kitchen, stickers on one of the basement walls and glow in the darks stars in a guest room.

Maybe she worked for Mary Kay.
When we were visiting my FIL in Naples, the owner of Mary kay was selling her house...........and both inside and out........was Mary Kay Pink. So funny.
Beautiful house; just the color throws you off a bit. Way too much pink

ok, it totally just brought batch horrid memories of working holiday help at Macys in the kids department!!!
Why stripes & stars, its not if patriotic in wine color.....

Call me crazy, but I've seen much worse offenders. I would have been ecstatic to have walked into a home that looked like that when we were house hunting!

Well, it certainly has a lot of potential! It could become a gorgeous home, with the "right" touches.
I've seen houses MUCH worse.

I am dizzy just looking at the pattern of the sofa and curtains. So many patterns (sofa, curtains, rug, aahhhh!!!!)
The stripes are a good way to tell you we entered the circus to see the style freak show.

My parents have a green and tan striped wallpaper going up their stairs and I think it looks awsome. Very subdued, not at all like your previous owner's taste!

speaking of "country fabulous" check out the den and the son's room. YES, the grown son's room. gotta love those curatins, ruffled pillows and the floral chair cushion.
