You know You're Distracted When...
I have come to realize that even though I sometimes do a very good job at keeping sane although I am always very busy, sometimes that craziness will come out despite my best efforts.
In the past I have realized I need to step back and breathe deep because:
I went to work and left my keys in the car with the engine running.. all day. Literally until probably 2pm after getting in around 9. I would have left it longer but a co-worker alerted me to the fact!
I wore my pajamas to work.
I put on 2 different shoes and didn’t realize it.
And today? Today I wore my pants inside out and didn’t realize it until about 9:30 this morning. I’m actually surprised I noticed it then!
So.. what about you? What nutty things have you done while working through the business of the day?

Aww, you're so adroable!
Actually we made fun of my dad 2 summers ago because he went to the BEACH like 3 or 4 times wearing his slippers instead of sandals!

That is too much! The only one that would worry me is the leaving the car running one. The others are just funny!
I went to work with 2 different boots once. Luckily I was able to stay at my desk the whole day! 
I will have to think of others!

I throw out my clothes at least once a week instead of putting them in the hamper.
I also have thrown garbage in the hamper instead of the can.
The BEST was I put the milk. . . .in the shower! right on the floor - but I realized it after a few seconds.

OMG, these are great.
I actually did the car running thing. The security guard alerted me because he found something with my first name in the car and there are only 2 Laurens that work in this building, thankfully...since there are about 1000 people at this site! hahaha
I have definitely worn two different shoes to work.

the key to our house upstate is on my wallet/keychain thingy so I never forget it.
so....after unlocking the door...i have been known to leave the key, attached to my wallet, in the lock. thank God we have a LARGE front yard
I went to dinner with my friends once with two different shoes on.
I leave stuff at home that i need to take to work to take care of stuff all the time.
oh, this will make you laugh
I boiled eggs for well over an hour, b/c i put them on then went upstairs to rest. thank god there was a lot of water in the pot!!!!!

I left my car running in the Commack movie theater parking lot while taking my little sister and my best friend to go see Dr Doolittle 2. If you know Commack theater - it isn't the best... Apparently because my car was such a POS, no one wanted to steal it.
I've worn my shirts backwards a couple of times and my underwear inside out.

I love these things..
I wore my underwear inside out all day yesterday!
I went to school once with one eye done full up in makeup and nothing on the other..
I had a sock stuck with static to the back of a shirt half the day until someone told me..

Those must have been REALLY hard boiled.
I've gone to get a glass and realised I put the milk in the cabinet instead of the fridge.
One eye of makeup.
Made lunch, then forgotten it on the counter. Thanfully DH saw it and took it with him otherwise it would have STUNK when I got home.
Taken stuff out of the oven and left it on, again DH saved the day.
Gone to get into a car that I thought was my dads to realise I don't know the person in the drivers seat. I almost sat down fully before I figured that one out.
Put the key into the wrong car door, cursing the car when it wouldn't open (this was when I had a Honda civic and so did everyone else). I put a sticker on my windshield after that one.
There's more, but I can't think of them now.

- left stove on all day, wondered why kitchen was so warm when i got home
- forgotten deoderant
- left conditioner in hair
- shaved only one leg and gone for a pedicure
- i forget where i parked on a regular basis and wander around parking lots

I've worn 2 different shoes to work. Twice.
While I was pregnant, I made it to the correct train station that had my car, less than a handful of times...in one month. I would sleep through stops, get off at one station & have my car at another station, etc. DH was so grateful when I started telecommuting that last month.
and while I'd love to blame that on pregnancy & lack of sleep, I just did it last week.

I overslept and was in a huge rush. I'm part of the itty bitty titty committee so it's not like anyone would have even noticed except for I told everyone, I don't know why I do these things.

I was wearing 2 different shoes at work today - luckily I had the correct mates in my desk but, I had walked all over the office and spoke to a million people beforehand!
I've gone to a conference without a bra on.
I leave my house frequently and forget where I'm going.
I have worn skirts backwards and things inside out as well.
I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one!

When I was just out of college my boss came to work with two different colored shoes on. I knew he had a meeting at the White House that morning. I had to run after him and drag him into his office to tell him about his shoes. He then went to an associate and made him give him his shoes so he could go to the meeting. The partener's wife brought the matching shoes later that day. Meanwhile the associate had to walk arround the office in his socks for 3 hours.
