Yesterday started out crazy but ended up really good...can I share?
Lucas had his very LAST physical therapy session last night. He didn't even have to get stretched because the moment he walked in she knew his neck was loose. So he got his little graduation cap and said his good-byes. 6 months and we can finally say no more torticollis  We all worked so hard...so this is such a wonderful thing all around.
Also...Lucas has started standing on his own for at least 60 seconds at a time without holding anything. The PT saw it last night and said that he's ready to walk  She also showed us how help him...instead of helping him move forward, she showed us how to hold his hips and rock him so that he starts to understand balance. Cool idea but I think we will take it slow.
And last...just something cute to share...
We first noticed this on Sunday but it happened again last night...a little girl came up to Lucas to give him a ball she was holding. As she was walking over he was all smiley and laughing but as she came up to him he put his chin to his chest, diverted his eyes and....turned pink   He actually blushed! How cute??!!!

ooooh!!! yay!!! im so glad hes done!!!! it was soo hard to say goodbye to our therapist...
hes coming back btw joseph is now walking on the inside of his foot..
but yay!! im soo proud of lucas.. hes soooooo sweet!!!

Sweet...then let me explain it better:
Hold the hip/upper body under the arm area with both hands on both sides. Use a gentle slow rocking motion to show her the concept of balance...she will start to recognize that her weight can shift. As your doing this she will naturally take a step and you'll help her walk into the step (shift her hip lightly)and then steady.

Wow, that's great!
And thanks for the info on balancing - we have one more PT session left ourselves, and then it will be a fight with the insurance for more, as he is not 100%. We try to do alot at home - this should help.
