Wow! (East Patchogue)
They completely knocked down the old Caldor shopping center this past week. Now if only someone knocks down Plaza Theater.
Can't wait for Lowes to go there. That town is a ghost town right now.

That Caldor's has been vacant for 10 years now! That shopping center was such a dump!!!
As for the Plaza Theatre - that needs to go too! I have a friend who's daughter works at the Dunkin Donuts next to it and my friend had to tell the manager not to let her daughter take the garbage out at night because the bums all swarm the garbage trying to get the stale donuts! God only knows what's going on inside the theatre!!!

Plaza (and the buildings from there to Avery Avenue) will be going as soon as the county finishes eminent domain proceedings on the property. The owner's been a stubborn fool for years. They then plan to align Washington and Conklin (since the Keyspan building is gone) and Avery and Grove.

REALLY??? Wow- it's about time. My ILs live in Bellport and we pass that all the time- it really does seem like a ghost town...
