Re: Would you fly or drive?

Around Christmas time, I might drive. Any other time, I would fly. I have never flown any where around Christmas, but I can guess the airports are crazy.
8 hours is not that bad. We just drove to NC in the summer, now thats bad. (NEVER AGAIN)!!!

If it was just one person - then fly. But since you are both going AND it is Christmas time, I would drive. Getting your bags checked and getting through security, leaving your house early enough to catch the plane, etc. can take up 3/4 of that 8 hours of driving!!!

I would probably fly if it was just DH & I. On the other hand, you could always leave because of "the weather" which is nice.Chat Icon

I would drive...

We drive to Buffalo all the time and that is about 8 hours...

We LOVE road trips..we have the BEST time together Chat Icon

I totally agree!

also then you can plan it that you leave later in the day - get there at night; then when you leave - leave really early - then you don't have to spend as much time with MIL!

I think it depends on how much your time is worth and how long you'll be there. If you're pressed for time - overall - I'd say fly.
