Would you cut his hair?

Lil man has waaaaaaaay too much hair... and most of the times I have it up in a ponytail, but it's getting harder to maintain (and hearing that he's a girl isn't fun all the time either). I would like to cut it shorter, but I keep getting mixed reviews on why I should or shouldn't (complete with people's superstitions, wives tales, thoughts & opinions). What do you think?

Re: Would you cut his hair?

Not a MOm but I LOVE his hair. Love it the most in the 3rd picture. He is absolutely gorgeous. I could see it getting hard to control. Maybe get it cut a little shorter in the front and just let the back grow?

Cut it. No little boy should have a ponytail. JMO.

I agree, he is gorgeous and I love his hair. If it's hard to control, a short cut would look adorable on him too, with a few curls, don't get rid of all of it! Can't go wrong with that face.

I'm a fan of little boys with short short hair. So if it were me, I would cut it.

Re: Would you cut his hair?

I say leave it! He looks so cute! Can you just trim it so it's not on his face so much? He will look adorable no matter what you do Chat Icon

I'd say go for it.

My DS's hair is either the same lenght or longer than your son's hair. I also have to put it in a pony tail and a hair clip to pull back his bangs because it bothers him so much and he is always rubbing his eyes. He is finally getting a haircut this weekend.

I'd say whatever you decide, stop putting it in a ponytail.

Re: Would you cut his hair?

Thanks for all the suggestions! Very much appreciated. I know I definitely would like to cut it, enough where he looks like a boy, but not where it isn't long anymore (like a buzz type of cut).

I feel Chat Icon saying this, but I was starting to believe what some have said - more than one person mentioned to me that cutting a baby's hair is bad, because it somehow throws off their balance, development and speech... Chat Icon lol.

Your lil one definitely has about the same hair as Justin. I would LOVE to see what your son's hair looks like post-cut! Chat Icon

Re: Would you cut his hair?

First - he is absolutely gorgeous. What a looker!!!
Second - he really needs a haircut.
Third - everything you heard about cutting his hair is nonsense. If you needed hair for balance, both my girls would have never stood upright.Chat Icon

Re: Would you cut his hair?

THERE he is!!! I've been missing the cutie!!

I never heard that superstition but yeah, I would cut it. You don't have to cut it short, but just enough so that people don't confuse him for a girl.

I know how you feel though. I never want to cut Jake's hair. Both times it's been cut I didn't like the way it looked after.

HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYYYYYYYYY! They get so big so fast, huh? I can't believe Lil Jake is already going to be TWO soon!

But ugh, I'm afraid of missing his wild hair when I cut it! Chat Icon But I definitely got to... he looks like Beetlejuice! See? Chat Icon
