Our girls name will be Mikayla. Some people are calling her Micky already which is fine with us, I think it is cute Chat Icon

I wish my parents would have thought of the possibility of their daughter being taunted with Leslie Lesbian. But they didn't. I will give a lot more thought to names I pick in terms of nicknames, but I suppose it is easy to taunt with alliteration.

TOTALLY took nicknames into consideration. My daughter's name can't be shortened and I like that she doesn't get called a shorter version. Some names have bad nicknames to me...Richard=**** comes to mind.

If we have a girl we chose her name based on a nickname. It was actually a lot of fun. I have had comments that it was interesting that we chose a name based on a nickname and not the otherway around.

I chose Quincy, I love Quinn.

I also chose Joshua and love Josh.

But on the other hand, I have a brother who has only been Thomas since the day he was born. Never called Tom or Tommy.
