Why is this house so cheap??

$273 in Lake Ronkonkoma.....looks pretty decent.
It doesnt list a SD - what SD could it be other than sachem?
I am the ultimate pessimist, i must find the flaw!

wow, they fail to mention that on MLS...hmm..
this is the 5th house I have seen they are doing this auction/bidding war thing.

this is the new thing
my friend's mom did the auction thing and it sold in south merrick in 1 day
they got their price & then some and made more $ b/c they didn't use a broker

What does that mean?
it's another school district for the area- my parents taught there- it's good- Megahan was wondering what else it could be besides sachem
does that make sense? b/c I am not sure I am explaining it right

Auctions have been the way to go in Europe for many years. Usually it's the more expensive homes that are auctioned and it's usually through a real estate broker, but I think this is some kind of online real-time bidding. There's always someone coming up with a new scheme
