Whose DH cut the cord?
My DH was  at the idea of cutting it. He said "Isn't that why we're paying the doctor?"
So he didn't.
Just curious how many DHs did do it.

First time he didn't because it was a section and they said he couldn't.
Second time he wasn't even in the room since they had to knock me out.

Same here. Not sure if he would've done it if asked. He said he did enjoy watching the entire birth.

Mine did he was all into it. I think if the Dr. let him he would have jumped in and delivered the baby, the sick weirdo he is!

Dan was so set against it. But when Andrew was born, the doc asked him one last time, and to my surprise, he did! So of course, he had to cut the cord again with Lauren, and this time I got to see him do it as well.

I chose other. He did for Sarah, but the cord was wrapped around Andy's neck twice so it had to be cut in order to give birth. And I was hemoraging pretty bad that they whisked Andy away until they figured out what was going on with me.

Dh didn't want to in the beginning, but after we took childbirth class he couldn't wait to do it.
It meant alot to him to do it.

I clicked other bc he didnt cut the cord on james but cut changed his mind 12 minutes later and cut kelly's.

Yup, they don't harvest the cord blood until you've delivered the placenta.

LOL this was my DH's exact words when the nurse told him to grab a leg. LOL!!!
Oh - and he did cut the cord. Much to both of our surprise as he was like hell no when he found out he would have the option

Yup, he cut it, but I don't think he cut the whole way, it was very tough he said! The doctor may have helped him a bit...but he made a valiant effort!
