Who's The Boss? (With Poll)
We all love to b!tch and moan about our bosses - but are any you "The Boss"?
And if so, do you LIKE being the boss, or does that come with its own set of problems you wish you didn't have to deal with. How does being the boss differ from when you were NOT the boss ? Better, worse?
For those who are not the boss/supervisor (such as myself) - how horrible is your boss really? Do you generally enjoy working with your boss, or is he/she impossible. Would you much rather BE the boss than work for him/her?
Just curious - my boss is literally making me INSANELY CRAZY this week - like I want to strangle him. And to think, normally I really like the guy  But in the same breath, I don't think I'd ever want to be the BOSS. I work 9-5:30 and I leave work and don't give it another thought

I'm not the boss..and I don't mind! My boss has ALOT on his plate, and puts in CRAZY hours!! and even though he makes $$$,$$$ - I wouldn't trade places with him for anything in the world.

Hey, trust me I've had to do MUCH worse for my boss than that 
As long as I didn't have to ATTEND the outing, I would be up for the task. I am a great events planner even though that is soo not supposed to be part of my job

I agree 100% with this. My boss is filthy rich (senior partner and chariman of his department at our lawfirm in NYC) and he works like a dawg.. crazy hours.. travels ALL the time.. never sees his kids... and the responsibiltiy of his practice and the entire department (some 30 attorneys) falls directly on HIS shoulders, and I know its totally stressful
Even for his millions I wouldn't want that life at ALL

I'm in a partnership with my dad, but naturally due to the father/daughter relationship, he's the boss most of the time.
There are only 3 people in the company, the 3rd being my younger sister, and she doesn't like me being the boss of her

i am not the boss and i am perfectly happy that way. i have no desire whatsoever to ever manage people. i don't particularly like my current boss. she's okay as a person, but she's always so busy that she's completely scatterbrained. makes getting my job done harder. but this is not the worst situation i've been in so i won't complain too much...

I'm not the boss and my boss is not exactly impossible, he is just thoroughly incompetent at managing people and projects. And he is totally in the wrong field.
Right now, I would NOT rather be the boss... but several years down the line, yes, I would love to. The money is good and the job is cake, if you ask me.

I am not the boss and I never want to be!!!! My boss is under sooooo much pressure. I honestly couldnt handle it. I like leaving my job at 5 and not thinking about it until 9 the next day.
We do have a very good relationship though. I love him - he treats me really well.
