I have done this before and it really works for me.

I am currently trying to lose weight by diet and exercise. It's so easy to eat 10 hershey kisses and because I don't write them down - poof - I didn't really eat them! (but my thighs tell a different story!) In addition, it's so easy to wake up in the morning with good intentions from the night before of going to the gym, but find it so easy to say - "nah, I will skip today".

I need someone to be my buddy where religiously once a day, we exchange workout and nutrition logs via Forum Mail of what we did that day. This keeps me on track because knowing that someone will be looking at what I am doing each day, I don't want to be embarassed by not living up to my fitness and nutrition routine. It also helps to get ideas from other people's daily routines.
