The Costco is off Military Hwy in between 264 and Virginia Beach Blvd on Poplar Hall Dr.
I live spitting distance from Sams and BJ's but with all these Cosco fans, it might be worth the 10 min drive. Im going to go check them out on my lunch break.

We shop at BJs now because it's so much closer for us. We used to shop at Costco. I think the Costco prices might be a little bit better... but for us, it's much farther away. The closest one is also in an extremely congested area. So for now BJs is just a lot more convenient.

It's funny you posted this. Sam's club is more popular where I'm at (tx) but when I posted on a texas forum almost the same question (costco vs. sam's club) almost everyone said they preferred costco although most had a sam's club membership due to convenience.

Ok Im back and I have to say I loved Costco!!
I havent even gone in the food section yet. I thought they had a good variety of housewares, electronics, man stuff for the hubby and even furniture.
DH and I are going there tonight so he can "ok" the TV stand I want and we are probably going to join.

I love BJs. My mom belongs to sam's & I have a card on her account but I never use it. The Sam's is not that close to my house. My Mom loves Walmart so she's all about Sams. She uses her BJs card on my account alot though because its so much closer to where we live.

mostly b/c it's very close to my job, so I can stop in on my way home. and also, I just renewed my membership for only $35 and got an extra 3 months free.
I also like that they accept mfg coupons - although I rarely need to use any since the coupon books they send are usually so good.
eta: and they only sell Perdu chicken - love that

ostco is bigger and looks nicer, but BJ's (which I voted for) has all the same stuff and you can use manufacturers coupons
