Which do you feed first, milk or solid? Feeding schedule for 7 mo. old?

My ped. told me a bottled should accompany any solid food DS eats but he doesnt seem so interested in his bottle all the time after eating. So I am wondering if I should give him the bottle first since it's most important.

here is his typical schedule:
8 am: 2 tbsp. cereal & 5 oz. bottle
11 am: stage 2 fruit & 5 oz. bottle
2 pm: 5 oz. bottle
5 pm: stage 2 veggie & 5 oz. bottle
8 pm: 6-7 oz. bottle

Sometimes he sucks down the bottle, sometimes he gets distracted and wants to play, sometimes he just doesnt want it until 30 min. after eating. I guess it could be b/c he is teething but he still sucks on his pacifier so I dont know if that is it either.

He will be 7 mo. Friday. Is this a typical feeding schedule for a 7 month old?

ds is 6 months and his GI told me today to offer solids in between milk so that they will eat more and eventually they will get most of their nutrition from food instead of bm/ff.

i heard it both ways though.
