Where to go to get address changed (not USPS or moving related)

Where to go to get address changed (not USPS or moving related)
My house is on a corner and we have a weird address bc it's not for the way the house faces. Even though it's not a hard to find house, it causes more problems than you would imagine - you can't even get a pizza delivery without confusion nor can we put the house # on the house either bc people think it's "123 This Street" when it would really be "123 That Street". Does that make sense? Where can I go to request my address changed? We are in Nassau. From the original documents of the house, it was originally correct...not sure where or why it was changed in the years since the house was first built but it's so annoying. I've wanted to do this for awhile now but have no idea where to call.
Anyone know?? TIA

call the county clerk's office. they should be able to direct you.
i think it may cost $$$$ because someone will have to change all of your information, not to mention your mortgage deed too, right?

No they won't have to change ur mortgage and deed.. that all gets indexed by the Section Block and Lot of your property and that won't change b/c of the address change.

Do you have a copy of the original survey when the house was built? I believe it would say it on there and then you could use that as proof

Yes, we have it. I will try the county clerks office and see what they say.
