Co-sleeping , only way I got any sleep at all. She was up constantly to nurse.

Nighttime, crib in their own room, for both DC.

DD 1- basinet then crib
DD 2- crib
DD 3- rock and play due to horrible reflux

DD slept in a bassinet for a while. I don't remember how long but it was at least 5-6 weeks. It wasn't more than 12 weeks though.

Plan was bassinet then crib. We coslept from day 1 as it was the only way either of us got any sleep.

Ours will be going in the crib from day 1. We just took a few parenting classes at the hospital and the recommend the crib from day 1. We shall see how that actually goes! But that's the plan!

Crib day 1. Never an issue. All naps in the crib too.

We had my DS in his crib (in his room) from day 1. Easy. No transition. I'll probably do the same with our next, but not certain.

with my 1st, we had her in the rock n play bc that's where she slept the best. But we regretted doing that when she outgrew it and had such a hard time transitioning to sleeping flat in the crib. With my 2nd, we had him in a bassinet in the beginning (halo bassinest) which was great bc he got used to sleeping flat so the transition to the crib wasn't hard.

Both my kids slept next to me in the rock and play sleeper for the first six months. I feel like it worked out great because they were always within arms reach. No issues transitioning to crib

Bassinet.
Transitioned into crib when they started sleeping longer stretches at night.

DD slept in a bassinet in our room until recently (4.5 months). She could've easily transitioned to her crib earlier, but there's no A/C in her room and we felt it was too hot for her to sleep in there. Once it cooled off, into her crib she went. It was quite a relief. We'd have to tiptoe around after putting her to bed when she slept in our room.

Rock n play for the first couple weeks, then the bassinet part of the pack n play. Went into her crib in her own room at about 4 months.

bassinet for 2 nights and then crib. I felt like all three slept better without having other disturbances int he room

We had all 3 of ours in the crib in their own room from the beginning.

Thanks ladies - all these responses helped tremendously. We're going to try to start her right off in the crib like we originally planned unless for some reason she's not having it. Then in that case we'll try the bassinet in our room.

Rock N Play and then our bed. DS never would sleep in his crib. He's now 2 and in a big bed with guard rails.

DD didn't like her crib either and was on a full sized mattress on the floor starting around 15 months.

Both of my boys went into their crib, in their room, day 1.
I had a glider in there for feedings, when they were sick, didn't feel well, just wanted me - whatever. ......

The first baby our room was right next door, for the second, the boys were downstairs (in their own respective rooms) and we were upstairs .........never a problem.

Our room has always been our space.

it really depends on what YOU are comfortable with. Don't let anyone tell you what you should or should not do.

My first was in a bassinet until 3 months

My second in a rock n play until 5 months that thing was amazing. I get it for everyone having a baby.

I put a pack n play next to our bed & bought a thicker, more comfortable mattress for it... each of my kids slept on that in our room for the first 6 months or so (kept it on upper level before he could sit up on his own so it would be easy to get him to bf & not have to bend over), then we moved the pack n play to their room for a few months, then they went into their crib about 10 months old or so.
My older son was a little trickier because he seemed to prefer sleeping at an incline so he liked the rock n play and also would often sleep for the night in his carseat, which now I realize is dangerous & wouldn't do that again but at the time it stopped him from crying all night so if he fell asleep in it I wouldn't move him.

Where did LO sleep starting from Day 1?

Bassinet for a few weeks then crib. I was more convenient for me to have him near me in the middle of the night. As soon as he started sleeping longer in the crib he went. He also was big and got to big for he bassinet.
