when did you transition from carrying your baby in the infant carrier
to carrying your DC in your arms and putting him/her in their car seat in the car?
Im just wondering bc DD is 4 months old and I literally cant hold the infant carrier seat with her in it. shes so heavy!
I have no strength left!

i changed DS at about 6 months and i really should have done it sooner. he was already about 22 lbs by then  it can get so heavy!
it was just so much easier sometimes to use the carrier bc i hated waking him up if he was sleeping.

i just really started doing this alot in the past few weeks at 5months! shes almost 18 lbs and i just cant hold her and the carrier! but its hard when i want to shop since shes not fully sitting up on her own just yet!

3 months old. i had surgery a couple days before his 3 month mark and wasn't allowed to lift anything over 10-15 lbs. The chunka man was over 15lbs all by himself - forget about a diaper bag and infant seat!
and now at 4.5 mos (and nearly 19 lbs) we're just using the convertible seat. i was carrying him anyway, and he's too tight in the infant seat. I couldn't loosen the straps enough to buckle him in comfortably!

At 8 months old. She just got waaaay too heavy to carry anymore. I held out to 8 months old because I wanted to get through the winter with the infant seat because it was so much easier to deal with. We switched DD out the last week in April.

wow I am in the minority..I went til 11 months old..it was heavy but so much easier to transport them in and out of stores and in the house when sleeping!
