Re: What's so great about Vegas?

I went to Vegas and didn't love it. I loved visiting Red Rock Canyon, and enjoyed maybe one night of the 'scene' but then I was over it. Ironically enough, DH is in a wedding there this July, so we'll be returning. We'll only be staying there for the rehearsal dinner & wedding, and then we're having our vacation in CA. Don't get me wrong -- it's cool to see all of the hotels and everything, but gambling gets old really quickly, and if you're not into partying all night with 300 wedding parties, it might get old quickly. I agree with whoever said it's like Disney for adults though -- that part is true. Chat Icon Oh, and I'm a HUGE hot weather fan -- but we went in August and I MUCH prefer hot and humid to hot and dry. Within minutes, my contacts literally crunched OUT Of my eyes, my skin and lips were practically bleeding even after I moisturized, etc. I was also there for work -- holding many conferences -- so that may have skewed my opinion -- although my coworkers are big partiers so I don't know. Re: What's so great about Vegas?

I am going to be honest...Vegas was nice, but not for me. We went to Mandalay Bay for our 1 year anniversary and the hotel was awesome. I loved it. I loved visiting all the fancy hotels like Bellagio etc... but that was the only fun for me. We are not big drinkers, we dont really gamble and the food is better at home. I think I was there for too many days. I dont feel a need to return soon.

Re: What's so great about Vegas?

I just came back from Vegas last week, and to be honest, I wasn't that impressed either. We had to go for DH's business, so we made an extended stay out of it. Yes, the hotels are gorgeous and it's fun to look at everything. The food is YUMMY, and we saw a Cirque De Soleil show which was AMAZING. But, we're not party-goers in the least bit (especially considering I'm pregnant), and we're SO NOT gamblers, so it wasn't ideal. It got old after a few days, actually... the only thing we REALLY enjoyed was renting a convertible and driving out to Hoover Dam and Red Rock Canyon
