What will your baby sleep in IN your bedroom?
Just wondering, if you plan to keep baby in your bedroom for a while, what will you get/register for for baby to sleep in?

I used a co-sleeper with my son and will again this time. I loved it. He slept right next to me and I knew he was safe.
I knew I wanted him in my room for a long time so I got the full-size one and I definately recommend going that route.

We have the Arms Reach mini-cosleeper and plan on using it again with DD#2.

did you have a hard time switching him into his crib when he was ready?
And what age did you do this???
I planned on using the crib from day 1, but with BF'ing, and the fact that i dont wanna wake my DS in the middle of the nite when i go get the baby, i was considering doing this..i just dont wanna ruin a sleep pattern.

I used the co sleeper. I slept in the spare room for 3 months with Andrew so that DH could sleep since he was working.

we're in a 1 BR apt.... so he'll be in his crib! It is about a meter from my side of the bed.

I started putting him down in his crib around 6 or 7 months.
Personally, I like co-sleeping and chose to continue, but he went to sleep every night in his crib starting around 6 or 7 months -- I would bring him into my room while he was asleep when it was time for me to go to bed.
I think the crib transition was really easy because he was already used to going to sleep in the co-sleeper. Many breastfeeding moms find themselves bringing their babies into bed with them (even if they swore they never would) because it makes night-feedings so much easier. I think using the co-sleeper makes it easier to transition between the crib because the baby is used to sleeping in his own space whether he is in your room or in his room.

We used the Cuddle 'N Care Rocking Bassinet with Light Vibes Mobile
by Kolcraft. it was great. Didn't take up a lot of space at all - not as bulky for us as a pack and play.

Im using the mini co-sleeper that I used with my dd, it was wonderful.
eta: mini co-sleeper is by arms reach also.

I have one of those that my mom bought my sis 8 years ago.. I found it to be cramped, not breathable and the mattress really thin. I tried looking for a thicker mattress but couldnt find one that fit in it.

I registered for a basinet. The room will be fully set up before the baby is born (!!!) and I don't plan to have the baby in the room with us for that long. I think it's important that (s)he has the opportunity to develop a routine in his/her own bedroom asap.

If I decide to have the baby sleep in our room with us at first, then it will be in a pack and play, otherwise the baby will sleep in the crib in his/her room.

I haven't completely decided, but I may put the pack 'n play in our bedroom for the first few months. The baby will sleep in the bassinet part.
